Founder-Built Tools for Smarter Financial Decisions

386+ calculators built by a founder with data analytics engineering training and a small contributor team. High-stakes pages are reviewed against public IRS, BLS, Census, and SSA materials where available. Most tools are educational estimates, not professional advice.

Leadership & Expertise

Built With Visible Ownership

EverydayBudd is led by a named founder and supported by contributors focused on transparent math, source citation, and practical user workflows.

Founder & Lead AI Engineer

Waqar Kaleem Khan

M.S. Data Analytics Engineering, Northeastern University

I founded EverydayBudd after my master's in data analytics at Northeastern. The aim is to give people calculators that show their work: visible formulas, named assumptions, and links to the public materials I used during review. For tax, health, and lending topics the tools are educational estimates. Final decisions should still go through the appropriate professional or primary source.

Contributors

A small group of contributors helps with formula review, source checks, and edits on selected high-stakes pages. Final editorial responsibility sits with the founder.

Public Sources We Review

Where a calculator depends on a specific number (a tax bracket, a wage base, a contribution limit), we try to point to a public U.S. government source for it. Many tools also rely on simple formulas or scenario assumptions, which are noted on the page itself.

Internal Revenue Service (IRS)

Official federal tax data and withholding tables

  • Publication 15-T (Withholding Tables)
  • Tax brackets and standard deductions
  • FICA rates and wage bases

Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)

Employment, wages, and economic indicators

  • Occupational wage data
  • Consumer Price Index (CPI)
  • Employment statistics

U.S. Census Bureau

Demographic and geographic data

  • Cost of living indices
  • Median income by location
  • Population statistics

Social Security Administration (SSA)

Retirement and benefits calculations

  • Social Security wage base limits
  • Benefit calculation formulas
  • Medicare thresholds

How We Review High-Stakes Pages

1

Source review

For each rate, threshold, or formula on a high-stakes page, we name the public material we read while preparing the page.

2

Formula and edge cases

A contributor walks the math and tests obvious edge inputs. Limits of the model are written on the page so readers know where the estimate stops being useful.

3

Corrections

Readers can email contact@everydaybudd.com to flag errors. We update the page against the cited source when warranted.

What Is EverydayBudd?

EverydayBudd is a founder-led calculator publisher with 386+ tools across taxes, loans, saving and investing, health and benefits, cost of living, math, physics, chemistry, and a few other categories. The library is growing toward 1,000 tools over time.

The thing we care about most is that every tool shows its work. Formulas are visible. Assumptions are named. Sources are linked when the calculation depends on a public reference. AI helps with the written explanations, the math itself is plain code we can read.

Each tool is written by hand. Some tools are simple by design, with one formula and a couple of inputs. Others are heavier and lean on multi-step calculations and public data. The page tells you which kind you are looking at.

How EverydayBudd is built

A founder-led calculator site, written for people who want to see the math instead of trusting a black box.

The math is visible

Each tool shows its formulas and the assumptions behind them. If a calculator uses a rate or threshold, the page tells you where the number came from.

Editor-reviewed pages

High-stakes pages (tax, loans, retirement, health, benefits) go through an editorial review against public materials. Lower-stakes tools rely on the formulas listed on the page itself.

AI helps explain, not decide

AI assists with written explanations and context. The calculation is plain code you can read, and the result is what the formulas produce.

Charts where they help

Charts and breakdowns sit next to the math when they make a result easier to understand, not as decoration.

Written by hand

Each tool is written for the use case it covers, not stamped out from a template. If a page is short, it is short because the topic is narrow.

Privacy by default

Calculations run in your browser where possible. Analytics, advertising, and cookie use are described in the Privacy Policy.

How we use AI on this site

AI writes a lot of the explanatory copy and helps with the educational sections. It does not run the underlying calculation. The math is plain code, and the inputs you enter are what produce the number on screen.

Where a page describes a tax bracket, a contribution limit, or a published rate, we link to the public source so you can confirm the figure. If you spot an error, email us.

AI explanations are useful for context, not for high-stakes decisions. For tax filing, lending, retirement, or medical questions, the page is a starting point. Your final answer should come from a qualified professional or the relevant primary source.

Our Roadmap

A focused, long-term vision built on quality over quantity.

A wider library, one tool at a time

Growing from 386+ today toward 1,000 tools, written by hand and reviewed before they go live. New tools land when they are ready, not on a quota.

Deeper links to public data

More direct references to public IRS, BLS, Census, SSA, CFPB, and CDC materials on the pages that depend on them.

Better update tracking

Clearer last-reviewed dates and faster turnaround when a public rate or threshold changes mid-year.

Scenario inputs

More what-if controls on the higher-stakes calculators so you can compare two situations side by side without leaving the page.
